What is this??
Why are we talking about Paul Molitor like his accomplishments are in the present? An explanation is in order!
If this is the first time you’ve visited PastKast.com, you may be a bit confused. Let us explain…
We give you, as a sports fan, the ability to follow a team as if today is the same day in another year. Right now, you can follow the epic season of the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers. Every post here will be written in “real time” from that given year. Reactions will be based on what has happened up until that date. So don’t spoil it for us by telling us how it ends.
The articles you read aren’t dug from the 1982 archives. We write them now in reaction to what happened then. We do it as authentically as possible, keeping facts and reactions as accurate as we can. That said, there are often holes in the information we have, and we’re often forced to estimate on details like game times, injuries, and anything else that we’re not privileged to know. Feel free to let us know when something seems a little off. We want to build a historical resource, so it needs to be as accurate as possible.
You can also follow @TweetsFrom1982 on Twitter and Brewers Updates From 1982 on Facebook. Twitter will give you all of the real-time action and reaction throughout the day, as we think it all went down. The Facebook page will give you the highlights without overwhelming you. And here? Well, here you can get all of the stuff that we can’t do on Twitter and Facebook due to space limitations.
So that’s it. That’s who we are and what we’re doing. We’re always open to feedback, so let us know what you think. Maybe there’s a way we can make it better. Maybe there are other teams or years you’d love to follow. Give us a shout.
There’s plenty more planned, and we can’t wait to roll it out. Enjoy the ride!
