Milwaukee Brewers: 12-10 (3rd in AL East)
Minnesota Twins: 10-17 (6th in AL West)
This will be the second meeting between the Twins and Brewers in a week. They last faced off for three games in the shiny new Metrodome last April 30 to May 2. The Brewers won two of three.
In fact, until losing two of three to the Royals in the finale yesterday, the Brewers have made a habit of winning series. They had won four series in a row prior to the hiccup against Kansas City.
The Twins, meanwhile, have split all but two series all season — the season-opening match-ups against the Mariners and Angels (won two of three each time). The Twins have won only two of their last eight, three of their last 12 and four of their last 15. In other words, the Twins lose a lot.
The Brewers could stand to have a cupcake match-up after scoring only two runs in two of the three games against the Royals (and four of their last eight games overall).
Time to get healthy, fellas. Feast on the cupcakes from our neighboring state.
