Charlie’s gotta dig Fleer’s choice of photos here. A lame batting practice pic of his balding melon.
Card of the Day
Card of the Day: 1982 Fleer Ted Simmons
Look closely at the Brewers cards in this Fleer set. Another batting practice shot, all in the baby blues. Was every card photo taken on the same day?
Card of the Day: 1982 Kellogg’s 3-D Cecil Cooper
Cooper is one of three Brewers (Fingers and Yount are the others) to represent the team in this futuristic set put out by Kellogg’s.
Card of the Day: 1982 Topps Stickers Ben Oglivie
Oglivie was a big acquisition for the Brewers, coming from the Tigers. His 1980 season was magical when he hit .304, smacked 41 homers, and drove in 118.
Card of the Day: 1982 Donruss Don Money
Money turned 35 yesterday, and he continues to fill an important role on the Brewers as a backup third baseman, DH, and team leader.
Card of the Day: 1982 Donruss Jamie Easterly
Easterly pitched a seven-inning no-hitter in the minors in 1979. He was purchased from the Expos in 1980 and became the Brewers’ number one lefty reliever last year. The Crew will need him in 1982!
